Lazio are reportedly moving fast in talks with Union Berlin for Robin Gosens as they look to beat out the interested Bologna.

The Biancocelesti are aware that a new left-wing back is needed for Igor Tudor’s squad in the summer, with Elseid Hysaj failing to prove a convincing figure following the departure of Maurizio Sarri back in March.

Luca Pellegrini has also failed to make a strong impact on Tudor, playing just 11 minutes in Serie A since the arrival of the Croatian coach, who has kept him benched for Lazio’s last four consecutive league matches.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), Lazio are trying to get the edge over Bologna for Gosens and have progressed in talks with Union Berlin, trying to set up a summer deal for the experienced German.

The 29-year-old currently earns around €3 million net per season and is contracted to the Bundesliga side to June 2028. He has already made his desire to return to Italy clear and talks are moving forward, with a possible agreement able to be reached for around €10-12 million.
